Ok so .. in Revision 2.0 of the arcade, you can perform the first half of Sub-Zero's "Deep Freeze" fatality during the round. It is unblockable and completely busted, however it is not without a couple of issues that require "working around". 8:34 .. still a bit shy of WR but a grind worth continuing as these strats can definitely push sub 8 if done right. I'll push this one a little more soon!...

Kintaro FOR ONCE behaving like a nice kitty kat! This is one of the toughest MK2 speedruns to do and I got insanely lucky to catch perfect Kintaro on this run to clutch out the sub 7:40. I was suprised to get this run this quick, but I understand that I had incredible luck on Kintaro to make it happen. HOW DID THIS RUN EVEN GET CLOSE?! Note that I didn't include showing the difficulty in this run because I did several soft resets before the final run. The times are getting tougher and tougher! We finally got there! We got the sub 8! We got WR! Scorpion in 7 minutes and 52 seconds! It is becoming more and more difficult to best as we get lower and lower. Kintaro finally co-operated for this run, I also got really lucky against Shang Tsung in the 2nd round, having him morph into Sub-Zero and immediately eat the jump kick, allowing an 88 flawle...

This is the current fastest speedrun using Liu Kang with a time of 7:43. Much better is possible but it might just be better to use Revision 2.1. In any case here it is... enjoy!

I'm too far away to say yes or no. I always try to get it in "steps". My first goal is under 8 minutes, then I will see if I think I can do under 7:50 .. then I will see if I can do it. Never try and get World Record. You can only get World Record if you are not trying to get World Record. Always just try and improve. :)

No .. this is Revision 2.0. In 2.0 there is a glitch that allows you to do the first half of the Freeze Fatality during the match. It is unblockable and extremely overpowered.

Watching you close that slim spatial gap after the initial bicycle kick with a series of punches that follow up with a final bicycle kick cracks me up. Imagine seeing anyone do that in the arcades in the 90's... People would have been slack-jawed and speechless, staring at the player as if he had just conjured fire from his fingertips...
